Marilet Pretorius was born in Pretoria, South Africa, and spent part of her childhood in Argentina. She moved to Mexico City where she completed high school and studied Industrial Design. In 1999 she moved to Boston where she attended the Boston Architectural Center. Marilet has been working as a Graphic Designer since completing her BFA in Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Boston. She lived and worked in Miami, FL where she became fully enamored with Printmaking at the Art Center South Florida. She moved to San Francisco in 2007 to pursue a year of postgraduate studies at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and is currently living in Carmel, CA.
